Profile:
Matt started playing volleyball in 1985 at Wootton Upper School in Bedford, where he played for Wootton Pioneers. In 1990 Matt went to Crewe & Alsager College and continued his volleyball with a strong College side. Whilst at C&A College, Matt won the MVP award three years in a row from 1993 to 1995, which is testimony to him, considering the strength of the team. Then when Matt left C&A College in 1996, he came to play for Milton Keynes.

Matt has been a strength as an outside hitter and one of our main service receivers, and was recognised with the Milton Keynes Player of the Year award for the 1998/99 season, despite having severe big toe problems!

Matt's nickname, "Psycho", is completely justified in that once he's had a few drinks he is an extreme liability to everyone's health and his own!
