Scotty Robson

Nickname: Fat Bloke Scotty Robson
Position: Setter
Shirt Number: 9
Height: 1.85m
Previous Clubs:

Newcastle, Staffs
Loughborough University
City of Stoke

Honours: MK NL Player of the Year 1999/2000
English Universities Representative Team
Central England Juniors

Profile:
Scotty started playing volleyball in 1984, when he was 11 years old, at Edward Orme High School. When he was 15, Scotty played for Newcastle, Staffs junior side (and Central England Juniors) and also in National League Division IV. When Scotty was 19, he went to Loughborough University and as well as playing in the National League and Student 1st team, he was selected to represent English Universities.

After leaving Loughborough in 1996, Scotty then went back to play for City of Stoke in Division I for a period of time, albeit most of his time was spent picking splinters out of his arse from sitting on the bench. Scotty then moved down to Milton Keynes during the season of 1997/98.

Scotty is well known in refereeing circles for his colourful language and his hobby of collecting cards - which are few and far between now. It has been said (by the man himself) that he is mellowing as he matures, but no-one seems to believe that...?

Scotty's nickname is very cruel, "Fat Bloke". This is completely unjustified, and it's all because he is carrying a little more weight than he perhaps should be. (Guess who's writing this web site!)
