MK did their best to try and lose! MK kept the momentum into the 2nd set, taking an early lead and sustaining it throughout the set to a relatively easy 25-16 win, to take the match to 2-0. With only 1 set to win, MK relaxed, which was a bad move, given that in their last game they were in this position and ended up losing the match. Salford took full advantage of this lull in MK's activity taking the next 2 sets to 16 and 13 points. This set up a very twitchy final set, with MK's recent performances. But MK were determined not to let this fifth set get away from them and to try and seize their first victory of the season. Sure enough, the sheer grit and determination of the MK lads shone through, seeing the home side chalk up their first win of the season as they close the set out 15-12 and the match 3-2. Sunday sees the second match of this double header against Ellesmere Port Eels, and hopefully the MK lads can complete a winning weekend.
